🤔I was reminded today that I just didn't jump into doilies. I had been crocheting for 20 years before I got that first Magic Crochet book for Gram and made most of the doilies inside before handing the magazine to her.
What did I make? One of my first projects I remember was a carry case for my crochet hooks. I brought it with me when I needed to show off my powers. 🦸♀️
When I was in fifth grade I got in trouble for crocheting while the teacher was talking to us. 😆 It was decades before the birth of fidget spinners. I was just ahead of my time, and being productive!
I remember being sick in bed working on a granny square tote bag, purple, pink and off white. I was watching Dallas. That was sometime in the eighties lol. I loved that show. 😃
🎁I made many baby shower presents, baby sweaters and some booties, many baby afghans, and a few full sized ones as well. I made myself a red sweater, no, I think I started it...lol.
If you asked me "if you could make one thing, what would it be?" I will always answer "doilies" because crocheting them brings me the most joy. 💕
