Yes this picture is a little overwhelming. -But-
Here's my crafty fair story:
I set up a table in front of my house in the 5th grade. I was crocheting necklaces freehand. I sold them to my friends for quarters and dimes. That's all they had & I was happy to take it!
About a year later, in 1995, when I was crocheting doilies and snowflakes, Gram suggested I do a crafty fair she saw in the newspaper. It was a two day event in Topsfield that cost $90. (It's funny what you remember)
I sold three things: doilies, snowflakes & crocheted barrettes. I think I sold the barrettes for the next 5 years or so before stopping.

Over the years, I've added -then removed- all kinds of items that are different than what I sell now. Some are: no sew fabric picture frames, tin can pin cushions that looked like fancy hats, and Elmo looking bags for the kids.
I don't do as many shows now. In 2020, when they were all cancelled, I changed my business plan to sell only old-timey and mostly crochet cotton items. Facebook lives and a website slowed my need to load & unload the car every weekend.
I still do a few a year for fun. As you know: I love showing off my crochet!
