🧶Frequently Asked Question🧶
"How long did it take for you to make this?"
Something I'm asked all the time. I really have no answer!
Here's why:
⭐️It can take 30 minutes to 2 hours to make a 6" doily. It all depends on the difficulty of the pattern. A snowflake can take 15-30 minutes, give or take.
⭐️I have to weave in and cut all the ends, which multiply for every different color I use!
⭐️I prepare the cornstarch in the old timey way on the stove. Then I press doilies into a towel or pin snowflakes to a board to dry.
Then the measuring, tagging, logging into my book, etc. Once I get to this point, I might take a break to start crocheting something else...
I realize when I'm asked the question you usually mean "how long does it take to crochet?" 😆 so I should mention I'm a bit faster than the average crochetier when it comes to cotton, so my 15 min could be over an hour for someone else.
🙂No short answer for this question.
I'll just say: Time flies when you're having fun! 💕
