🧶How did I end up crocheting full time?
It's such a long story, but here are some highlights...
💌I learned to crochet at 5, and started making chain necklaces for my friends in fifth grade.
💌When Mr. King was in the Navy, I crocheted for Naval Relief and found I liked crochet more than all my other crafts. I had been doing more sewing and counted cross stitch up until that aha moment.
💌As soon as the Navy thing was over I started doing crafty shows with Gram.
In the meantime, I was working full time at a certain store we all love to shop in. I was the craft & fabrics manager, assistant store manager & overnight support manager. I stepped down to part time & stocked overnights as well. I spent my weekends doing crafty fairs.
I was there 22 years, 18 on overnights. 😴
💌One day I found out a manager I didn't work well with was coming to overnights with my crew. I told Mr. King & he said, "just quit." He'd said it before, but this time I jumped on it. That was November, 2018.
💌Then I was full time crocheting. I did SO many crafty shows, but when COVID hit I was forced to turn my attention to my boring facebook page. I turned into the fun destination it is now & that's probably how I met you!
